What does the membership include?
Every course in the library and each new lesson as it comes out. It also includes the Toolkit to download from your first day, and a certificate for each course you finish.
How much does it cost?
£19 a month, or £190 a year, which gives you two months free. UK prices include VAT. Buyers elsewhere see their own currency where we have a local price, with any tax added at checkout.
Can I try it first?
Yes. Module 1 of every course is free. You need no account and no card.
Create a free account if you want to save your progress. It keeps your place on any device.
What does a free account give me?
It saves your progress on the free modules, so you can pick up where you left off on any device. There is no card and no password.
You can also choose to get news and new lessons by email. Turn this off at any time in My library, or with the link in any news email.
How do I sign in?
Enter your email on the Sign in page and we send you a link. There is no password to remember. The link works once and lasts 15 minutes.
How do I cancel?
Cancel online at any time from My library. You keep access to the end of the month or year you paid for, and no further payment is taken.
How does renewal work?
Your plan renews each month or each year until you cancel. My library shows your next payment date, and Paddle emails a receipt for every payment.
Can I get my money back?
Yes. You get a full refund if you ask within 14 days of joining. The Refund policy has the details.
Are new lessons included?
Yes. Every lesson and course added while you are a member is included. The Coming next page shows what is on the way and when.
Can I ask for a topic?
Yes. Members can request a topic on the Coming next page and vote for other requests. The most wanted topics go into the calendar.
What happens to my certificates if I leave?
Certificates you earned stay valid. Anyone can check one on this site with its certificate number. Toolkit files you downloaded stay yours to use.
Which edition of the contracts do the courses use?
The NEC4 courses use the NEC4 Engineering and Construction Contract, June 2017 with the January 2023 amendments. Contract Preparation covers the NEC4 family in the same edition. It gives clause numbers for the ECC and the ECS.
NEC4 vs FIDIC 2017 uses the FIDIC Red Book (Second Edition 2017) as first published. It notes where to check the 2022 reprint. NEC Case Law covers court decisions up to September 2026.
Do I need my own copy of the contract?
It helps, but you can follow every lesson without it. Every rule is given with its clause number, so you can check it against your own contract. The courses do not include the contract text.
Is this endorsed by NEC or FIDIC?
No. It is independent material written by Waleed Tariq.
Is there a certificate?
Yes. Each course ends with a certificate of completion. It shows the course and the study time, with the date you finished. Use it in your CPD record. It is not a professional qualification.
Will the templates work for my contract?
They are built for NEC4 ECC and ECS contracts and the FIDIC Red Book 2017. You set the form and the Options on the Setup tab. If your contract has Z clauses that change a time limit or a payment rule, change the matching entry on the Setup tab.
Which software do I need?
The courses need a modern browser on a laptop or a phone. The workbooks need Excel and the letters need Word.
The Application for Payment uses macros for its pop-up calendar and automatic hiding, which need Excel on Windows. Without macros it still works, with unused parts greyed out. The other files work in Excel on Windows or Mac.

Windows blocks macros in files from the internet. Close the file and right-click it. Choose Properties and tick Unblock. Click OK, then open the file again. The How to Use tab has the same steps.
Can my company buy for a team?
Yes. Team seats cost £15 a seat a month, billed yearly as £180 a seat, from 5 seats. The person who buys adds each member by email and can swap people later. For 50 seats or more, ask us for a quote.
Can I get an invoice for my company?
Yes. Add your company name and VAT number at checkout. The invoice is then made out to your company and shows the tax.
Who takes my payment?
Paddle.com, our online reseller. Paddle is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. It takes your payment and charges any tax. It also sends your receipt.
Do you give advice on my contract or my dispute?
No. The courses and templates explain how the contracts work. NEC Case Law explains court decisions for training, and it is not legal advice either. For advice on a live matter, speak to your own adviser.
I found a mistake. Where do I report it?
Please write to us with the module or file and what you saw. Every report is checked against the contract text, and corrections go into the next update.
